Green's Second Major Championship

With the victory, Hubert Green joined an elite group of players with multiple major championships. His first major came at the 1977 U.S. Open at Southern Hills, and the 1985 PGA Championship at Cherry Hills cemented his legacy as one of the era's premier players.

Final Round — Hubert Green Wins

Hubert Green closed with a final-round 72 to finish at 6-under-par 278, winning the PGA Championship by two strokes over Lee Trevino. It was Green's second career major title, eight years after his 1977 U.S. Open victory.

Lee Trevino finished in second place at 4-under-par 280, two strokes behind Green. Trevino, already a multiple major champion, was unable to overtake Green in the final round at Cherry Hills.
